The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment & Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has officially launched one of the biggest recruitment drives in the state’s history with the release of the UP Police Constable Recruitment 2025 Notification under Advertisement No. PRPB-B (Constable PAC and Other Cadres)-07/2025 dated 31 December 2025. This recruitment invites applications for 32,679 posts, including Constable Civil Police, PAC, SSF, Jail Warder, Mounted Police and other equivalent positions throughout the state of Uttar Pradesh.

Educational Qualification :

To be eligible for UP Police Constable Recruitment 2025, candidates must meet the following educational criteria.

The applicant should have passed Class 12 ( 10+2  Higher Secondary) or an equivalent examination from a recognized board or institution.

Age Limit :

  • Minimum Age: 18 years

  • Maximum Age (Male): 22 years

  • Maximum Age (Female): 25

  • Male Candidates: 18 to 22 years. (Born between July 2, 2003, and July 1, 2007).

  • Female Candidates: 18 to 25 years. (Born between July 2, 2000, and July 1, 2007).

  • Age Relaxation: Reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC) from Uttar Pradesh are entitled to a 5-year age relaxation as per state government rules.

Salary & Benefits :

Selected candidates will get a government salary under Pay Level-3, which is between ₹21,700 and ₹69,100 per month. In addition, candidates receive:

  • Dearness Allowance (DA)

  • House Rent Allowance (HRA)

  • Travel Allowance (TA)

  • Other benefits and retirement perks

The Selection Process :

The UPPRPB follows a rigorous four-stage selection process to ensure only the most capable candidates join the force:

  1. Written Examination: An objective OMR-based test.

  2. Document Verification & Physical Standard Test (PST): Verification of certificates and measurement of physical attributes.

  3. Physical Efficiency Test (PET): A running test to assess stamina.

  4. Medical Examination: Final fitness check before the merit list.

Exam Pattern & Syllabus :

The written exam consists of 150 questions totaling 300 marks. Candidates are given 2 hours (120 minutes) to complete the paper.

Note: There is a negative marking of 0.5 marks for every incorrect answer. Accuracy is just as important as speed.

Physical Standards (PST & PET) :

Candidates must meet the following physical benchmarks to qualify for the next round:

Physical Standard Test (PST)
  • Height (Male): 168 cm (General/OBC/SC); 160 cm (ST).

  • Chest (Male): 79 cm (without expansion) and 84 cm (with expansion). A minimum 5 cm expansion is mandatory.

  • Height (Female): 152 cm (General/OBC/SC); 147 cm (ST).

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
  • Male Candidates: Must run 4.8 km in 25 minutes.

  • Female Candidates: Must run 2.4 km in 14 minutes.
